Who is CESA?

CESA is a nonprofit professional organization dedicated to fostering mutual support and cross-disciplinary collaboration in preparing for natural and human-caused disasters and public emergencies. Our membership includes emergency managers from all disciplines and levels of experience, united by shared goals and a common commitment to saving lives, protecting property, and protecting the environment. CESA’s strength lies in the diversity of our members’ education, perspectives, and professional experience.

Our mission is to support and coordinate member efforts related to federal, state, and local emergency management policies; advance the professional development and standing of emergency managers; and elevate legislative and regulatory issues relevant to the profession. As a dynamic organization of leaders and practitioners engaged across the full emergency management lifecycle—Preparedness, Response, Recovery, and Mitigation—CESA welcomes you to contribute your knowledge, expertise, and leadership.
